Veterinary Receptionist, Full Time Filled 9/19/2011
We’re looking for another full time veterinary receptionist. One who is an outstanding individual and pet lover, one who has a strong customer orientation, a great work-ethic, and a very positive attitude.
All candidates must have prior experience of working or volunteering at a veterinary hospital. At least 1 year’s of experience working as a veterinary receptionist or assistant is strongly preferred.
This is a full time position, with compensation is dependent upon experience.
Proficiency must be demonstrated in:
- Customer Service
- Office and Organizations Skills
- Communication Skills
If you’re interested, please submit your resume, cover letter, and references to Dave Oei at jobs@rsfvets.com.
We strongly prefer that you do NOT include attachments. Simply include your cover letter and resume into the body of an email message. However, if you do include attachments, please save your document(s) using Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat. We cannot read WordPerfect documents and we cannot read documents that end with a “.docx” format. Saving your document using an “.rtf” or “Rich Text Format” works just fine!
Competition for this position is expected to be high. Resumes submitted without a cover letter, resume, or previous veterinary experience will be ignored. We do not accept faxed resumes, however, you may drop them off in-person. Keep in mind, it is far easier for us to evaluate resumes when sent via email. Finally, please send an email to the above address if you have any questions.
Finally, as a hint, please take care to use perfect grammar and spelling – it counts!
Volunteers
Every year, especially as summer approaches, we receive a number of requests from those wishing to volunteer their time or intern at our hospital. Unfortunately, due to the high demand, we cannot fulfill most of these requests. However, if you are interested, don’t hesitate to send a resume and cover letter to daveoei@rsfvets.com.
Tips for Applicants
Historically, we receive between 75-100 resumes for every job we post. That means you need to stand out from the crowd if you want your resume to “pop” to the top of our stack. Here are some tips to help make that happen. First, always include a cover letter with your resume. A good cover letter includes reasons why you want to work at our hospital and why you would make an outstanding candidate. Good resumes are well organized and tailored to a particular job opening. Second, spell and grammar-check your documents.
