Currently, our hospital cares for many rats, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and various other exotic pets and most of our staff has previous experience with exotics and even have some exotic pets of their own. Keep in mind that we are not board certified avian or exotic veterinarians, but we are still able to spay and neuter most small animals (including mice!) and help with most treatments. Still, as with the dog and cat cases requiring specialized care, such as cancer treatments or eye surgery, we typically refer to a veterinarian who specializes in your particular exotic species.
